And I would say not much has changed, but things have changed, and for the better…for the most part.

We got the house we were looking at, which is located close to our church…. within walking distance, actually. That makes me a very happy person.
We got another cat 3 days ago, named Abby, pictures are soon to follow. Angel and Abby currently do not get along as well as we’d like, Angel hisses and runs away, while Abby is merely curious and wants to get to know Angel. So, they are apart for now, with limited contact to get used to each other’s smells and stuff. But Abby is about as affectionate as a cat can possibly be, which is weird, because we are so used to Angel, who is fairly aloof.

Was in a car accident about 3 and a half weeks ago, and my neck still hurts. My doctor’s office never got back to me with my x-ray results, something I just realized. I’ll have to call them and see if anything was wrong.

Went to the beach last weekend, got majorly burned, as did Jason and nearly everyone else on the trip. Got a couple cool things, like a shirt with “Princess: my Father is the King of Kings” on it, along with a nice pink hoodie thingy.

I quit Maplestory about 6 months ago, it was time. It was taking away too much of my life, and I didn’t like feeling like I was wasting all my time. As far as my gamer status goes, I’d consider myself “casual”. I still play a little Animal Crossing, as well as Final Fantasy 1 on the Nintendo DS, and Chronotrigger on the DS as well.

Due to medications I have been on previously, I am having memory problems. So, I journal every day now, on my phone. It’s been over 3 months, and I have an entry for every single day. It’s amazing how much stuff I forget from day to day.

We do something now called “Firepit Fridays”…. we have a firepit out back, as well as a grill, and every Friday night, as long as the weather is good, we grill out and cook on the fire (smores and the occasional hot dog). It’s mostly church folk, but we’ve had a couple others too.

Well, that’s all I can think of for now. I’m sure I’ll get back to this again soonish (like another year or two lol).
Take care everyone.

Well, it’s been ages, and I don’t know quite where to start. Had alot going on recently, like my mental health diagnoses being changed from PTSD back to schizophrenia. Which honestly was a bit of a shock, and somewhat discouraging as well.
Been keeping busy. The past 3 weekends have been packed with stuff, although I don’t remember all of it. The first weekend was a house inspection (yes, we are in the process of buying a house!!), the second weekend was…. I forget. The third weekend we had an old friend of ours up from Virginia to stay the weekend with us. We had a blast. Friday we went to the park, saw some horses. Then we went to walmart and michael’s. We made flipflops!!! Then we went out for sushi, and went back home and relaxed. Saturday was pretty full, too. We went to the zoo, spent 5 hours there. Then we got saladworks and went to the mall for coldstone ice cream!! Walked around the mall for a while, and picked up a bunch of books. I finally own “where the wild things are”. Best children’s book ever!!!

So yeah… We are buying a house. It’s nerve wracking, and taking way too long. We should be moving at the end of this month, if all goes well.

I’m sure there’s more that I’m forgetting, and I’ll probably just end up adding or editing this post as I think of it….

Yet again, I’m writing from bed. I seem to be following a theme here. I am, again, waiting on Jason to come to bed…he’s watching Stargate.

Blogging can be aggravating. It’s a way to write about things, but at the same time, I’m not sharing thoughts or feelings about Alot of things, and it just makes it feel so…impersonal and almost a waste. Maybe I’m just weird.

So a couple days ago I found out that my parakeets, if they really feel like it, can escape their cage and have a field day teasing my cat. It made for a very interesting afternoon. Angel immediately got confined to the bedroom (crying her eyes out) and while I did that, Popcorn (keet) went back into the cage of his own free will.

Jason changed the theme of my website for me. I think I like it better than the ones I had before, but I’ll give it a couple days and see how it sits.

We had Jason’s mom and our niece over on Saturday. Amber is 14 months old and running around and talking a bit and is so adorable. She’s also pretty funny. She kept chasing Angel, who actually tripped in her desperation to get away. Angel eventually gave up and let Amber pet her, and Amber pet her nicely, which was a surprise. Amber was terrified of Jason at first, but eventually got comfortable enough to let him hold her and even held his hand and stared at him for a while. It was precious.

The night before that, Friday night, we had TJ and Emily over. I cooked for everyone and we played the Wii for a while, then watched some YouTube videos before it got late and I kicked them out. It was an enjoyable experience

That’s really all for now… Nighty night!!

Just thinking, not really much going on. I started a new thing…group therapy. I like it, I think it could help. It’s a cognative behavioral therapy group. Speaking of group, I need to start journaling, obviously not on here, because there are things I just won’t share with the world. Alot of things, actually. I’m private like that sometimes. At least I have the notebooks for journaling, I picked them up on sale at the store. I think it will be a good thing for me to write…there is alot that I need to work through.

Sunday was another good one, still in the Psalms. I forget which one we did. In bible study on Tuesdays we are discussing how we deal with fear…I suck at dealing with fear. I don’t think that’s going to change any time soon. Wednesday was the church block party, got there just in time to help clean up….

Laying in bed, trying to stay awake. Angel just hopped up to keep me company.

I need to get back into reading poetry. There are some truly beautiful poems out there, just waiting to be read. I need to get a book of Dickinson’s works…she’s easily my favorite. It’s so east to forget life’s little things sometimes, and get caught up in the big stuff.

Short entry this week…my head is bothering me and I haven’t had much sleep recently. I tried taking an ambien Tuesday night and it didn’t help me sleep, but it did put me in a fog for a good few hours after waking up. So, on that note, Nighty night.

Laying in bed, trying to fall asleep, and I remembered this. This is a few days later than I would have liked. Not much really going on, but I’ll ramble.

Got the last Stephenie Meyer book, Breaking Dawn, on late Friday night / early Saturday morning, yes, I was one of the obsessed few who did the midnight release party and waited in line for 2 and a half hours. Thank goodness Jason is so patient I finished reading it already (obviously) and I liked it. I can see how some might call it a cop out, but I thought it was well written.

Oh man, there’s a skunk outside. -gags-

Church Sunday was, as always, enjoyable. We are exploring the Psalms right now which is actually alot more entertaining than I thought it would be.

Saw the family Tuesday night for the first time in ages, which was a nice change. Actually had a pretty decent time, met my new “sister”. She’s a pretty funny, down-to-earth person. Doesn’t seem like she deserves the crap life has thrown at her.

I’m really not liking that skunk.

Air conditioner broke today, which really sucked. It was hotter inside than it was outside, which made for a miserable day spent in the hot bedroom with the fans on full blast. Poor Angel was stretched out in the bathtub trying to stay cool…I’ll put a pic of it below.

I start my new therapy group on Monday. I’m pretty nervous about it. I hope it helps me out. It’s a 4 times a week, 2 hour sessions each time. It’s also a decent walk, 25 minutes each way, so hopefully I can lose a couple pounds and gain some peace of mind. That’s a trade I can definitely live with.

Well, that’s all for now. If I think of anything else, I’ll add it.

Jen

So, I promised to write more…second time in two weeks is a new record for me, I believe.
Not much really going on. I’m switching therapists, going from 2 visits a month to at least 2 visits a week. Apparently they think I need it. Not particularly reassuring, but…whatever.
Tried a couple new places to eat this week. One was a diner, the other a nice Chinese / Japanese place. Both were well worth it.
Saw “Dark Knight”. I really liked it. The Joker creeped me out pretty badly. Then again, it doesn’t take much to creep me out.
Church yesterday was fun, we learned about Islam. Afterwards a large group
Of us descended upon Wendy’s and grabbed some lunch. Mari (the pastor’s 11year old daughter) got stuck sitting right next to me, so I kept her well-behaved. Then it started pouring down rain outside, so everyone got soaked running to the cars, it was awesome. I wanted to play in the rain but didn’t have a change of clothes. I’ll start bringing an extra shirt with me, just in case. After that we hung out at the church till service started, and I got ill, which sucked, but was luckily short-lived. After service everyone went to get food then we watched Dr Who together By the end of the episode it was late, so we all went home.
As far as today? Nothing exciting…just some Sudoku, some laundry, and food shopping later. After that I’ll probably put some more recipes up on here.
Ta ta for now…

Here’s a pic I took blindly.

Preheat oven to 325.

Roll dough until roughly 1/4 inch thick. Cut into 2 inch circles, or use a cookie cutter of your choice, approximately same diameter. Place on ungreased cookie sheet 2 inches apart. Make a little X or fork poked pattern into the top of the cookie, no more than half way down (so it doesn’t break).

Bake at 325 degrees for 15-18 minutes, until there is a light brown color around the edges. cookies should remain close to white on the top.

Cool on wire racks. Makes about 36.
